Compozitorul și cântărețul de blues american Doc Pomus. Este cel mai cunoscut ca textier al multor hituri rock and roll împreună cu Mort Shuman, inclusiv, ‘A Teenager in Love’, ‘Save The Last Dance For Me’, ‘Sweets For My Sweet’, ‘Can’t Get Used to Losing You’, ‘Little Sister’, ‘Suspicion’, ‘Surrender’ și ‘Viva Las Vegas’. A murit de cancer pulmonar la vârsta de 65 de ani pe 14 martie 1991.
